Meet the Farney Elementary PTO Board
Our PTO Board is made up of hard-working parents who pool their talents to provide practical support for our school. Those listed below volunteered to provide leadership this year. Get to know their names and faces, and feel free to ask them if you have questions.
Hello! I am entering my second year as President of the PTO, and my third year on the Board. My husband, Jason, and I have three boys: Austin will be a Freshman at Cy Woods HS, Tyler is going into 7th grade at Goodson MS, and Mason will be a 5th grader here at Farney. After six years, this will be our final year having a student at Farney. Although we are going to miss our Farney Friends, we are looking forward to a fantastic year. “It’s Showtime”!

I’m a native Houstonian who’s spent some time in College Station and Lubbock. My husband, Paul, and I have been back in the Cypress area for about six years. We have two kids...a 6th grader and a 3rd grader. This is my fifth year on the PTO board, and I love getting to be involved at Farney! I’m a teacher and small business owner and love guacamole, coffee, exercising and Colorado.
I grew up in the Cy Fair area, graduated from Cy Fair High School, and also from Texas A&M University. I am happily married to my husband who works for CFISD and we have 3 young children, 9,7, and 4. I am excited to serve on this board as I will be involved with Farney for quite a few years! I have extensive accounting experience, currently, teach at a local preschool, and work in real estate. In my spare time, I love to spend time traveling with my family, socialize with friends, and help serve my church family at Cypress Chapel.

Hi! My husband, Matt, and I moved to Cypress five years ago. We have three daughters: Shelby (Freshman in College), Bekah (2nd grade), and Morgan (1st grade). I live on coffee most days as I juggle my roles as the development assistant of a non-profit, a Houston Moms Blog Contributor, and a wanna-be super mom. I love throwing elaborately themed parties, binge-watching British documentaries, and spending time with my amazing friends.

My husband, Mike, and I have 3 children; Austin 18, Max 16 (who both went through Farney) and Sadie who is in 5th grade this year. I am a graduate of Sam Houston State University and currently a SAHM who loves all that comes with that; especially that I can be there for my kids in their various activities! If you don’t see me at Farney volunteering then I am probably at Cy-Woods doing the same!
I am originally an East Coaster, I grew up in a wonderful suburb of Philadelphia, Chester County Pennsylvania. However, I lived in Houston once before from 1991 through 1996. I missed it so much that I eventually moved my family back to the area in the Spring of 2018.
I am a mom to three beautiful children. My twins, Savannah and Aidan, will be entering 5th grade this year, and my daughter Brooklyn will be going into 3rd grade. In our spare time, we volunteer for two dog rescues in the Houston area, and foster dogs in need. It’s been such a rewarding experience for both me and my children as we truly enjoy taking care of dogs who haven’t had such a great start.
I recently earned my Masters in Communications from Purdue University, and while I am a stay at home mom, I volunteer at Farney as often as possible as I love being a part of all the fun events the school hosts throughout the year. This is my first year on the PTO board, so I am looking forward to an exciting, engaging, and rewarding new school year!

Hello, my name is Lindsay Thomas and I’m serving as the Historian for the 2019-2020 Farney PTO. I have two kids at Farney - my son, Cain, will be in 3rd grade and my daughter, Quinn, will be in 2nd grade. My family and I moved to Cypress, TX 5 years ago from Las Vegas, NV. At first, I wasn’t sure if we made the right decision moving to TX. But I believe God put us here for a reason and now I couldn't imagine being anywhere else. We’ve made some really great friends in our Stablewood Farms neighborhood and are very involved with our church family at Second Baptist. When I’m not helping out at school or church I work as a Radiology Scheduler at North Cypress Medical Center. I’m so very excited to work on this year's yearbook; I love layout and design and even served as my High Schools Yearbook Editor-in-Chief :)
Looking forward to the start of school!

Even though I have been actively involved with Farney since my daughter was in Kindergarten, this is my first year on the board. My husband, Jeff, and I have been married for 19 years and have lived in Cypress for 18 of those. We have three kids: Sara (6th grade at Goodson) and twin sons, Dean and Scott (3rd grade at Farney). When I am not working my day job as a Systems Analyst for Harris Health System, I love spending time with my family and participating in church activities. I am looking forward to an amazing year full of activities for our students. I would love it if you joined me...It's Showtime!

I graduated from Jersey Village High School in 1997. After that, I played volleyball for the Texas A&M University Club team and graduated with a B.S. in Management Information Systems and a minor in Mathematics in 2001. When I moved back to Houston, I worked for an oil and gas acquisition company to program and maintain their database system. After a few years, I decided to pursue teaching and am currently teaching Geometry and the Head Volleyball and Head Golf coach Jersey Village HS. I have been teaching high school for 16 years, 8 of which have been at my alma mater. I am married to Chuck Schneider, who is a 6th grade science teacher at Goodson MS. Together we have 5 boys (ages 18, 16, 10, 8, 4) – two attend Farney. This will be my second year on the Board and I am so excited to see what this year holds for our Farney Falcons!
